Acts 4:12; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

salt lake mormon temple 2 Mormon Doctrine, p. 472; “Full salvation is attained by virtue of knowledge, truth, righteousness, and all true principles. Many conditions must exist in order to make such salvation available to men…If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 2, pp. 1-350.)” – Bruce R. McConkie

Holy SpiritGeneral Conference, ‘Ye Must Be Born Again,’ April 2007; “The Holy Spirit of Promise is the ratifying power of the Holy Ghost. When sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, an ordinance, vow, or covenant is binding on earth and in heaven. (See D&C 132:7.)

Receiving this “stamp of approval” from the Holy Ghost is the result of faithfulness, integrity, and steadfastness in honoring gospel covenants “in [the] process of time” (Moses 7:21).

However, this sealing can be forfeited through unrighteousness and transgression. Purifying and sealing by the Holy Spirit of Promise constitute the culminating steps in the process of being born again.” – David A. Bednar

Witnessing Tip of the Day FebruaryFebruary 25 – 2 Corinthians 5:20-21; “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

December 2 – John3:16-17; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

Mormon Decisions 10Ensign, ‘Do Not Weary By The Way’, November 1980; “If I have learned anything in life, it is that we are to keep moving, keep trying—as long as we breathe! If we do, we will be surprised at how much more can still be done.” —Spencer W. Kimball

Saints AliveDear Friends,

Watching the Mormon Church begin to implode has really been a blessing. After almost 40 years of standing against its lies and the spiritual death it brings to its followers, it is a breath of fresh air.

Mormon Decisions 10New Era, January 2014, p 31; “Aid from the Unseen World…Perhaps if we would do our work in behalf of those of the unseen world who hunger and pray for the work we can do for them, the unseen world would in return give us help in this day of our urgent need. There are more in that other world than there are here. There is more power and strength there than we have here upon this earth. (5. John A. Widtsoe, in Conference Report, Apr. 1943, 39.)”

Old-Testament-Gospel-Doctrine-Teachers-Manual-35570000The name of this lesson is “The Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord” and it’s centered on Zechariah 10-14 and Malachi. Its purpose is “To encourage class members to (1) prepare for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, (2) pay an honest tithe and generous offerings, and (3) experience the blessings that come because of the sealing power of the priesthood.”

If you’re thinking ‘how could they possibly do justice to these two books in one short lesson’, the answer is simple; they can’t and they don’t.

Mormon Decisions 10General Conference, October 2001, “The Atonement Our Greatest Hope”; “The Atonement cleanses us of sin on condition of our repentance. Repentance is the condition on which mercy is extended. After all we can do to pay to the uttermost farthing and make right our wrongs, the Savior’s grace is activated in our lives through the Atonement, which purifies us and can perfect us. Christ’s Resurrection overcame death and gave us the assurance of life after death.” – James E. Faust

Mormon Decisions 10Teachings of Presidents of the Church, chapter 3 Plan of Salvation; “The plan of salvation, or code of laws, which is known as the gospel of Jesus Christ, was adopted in the heavens, before the foundation of the world was laid. It was appointed there that Adam our father should come to this earth and stand at the head of the whole human family. It was a part of this great plan, that he should partake of the forbidden fruit and fall, thus bringing suffering and death into the world, even for the ultimate good of his children.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

Mormon Decisions 103 Nephi 27:13-16; “Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you—that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me. 14 And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil— 15 And for this cause have I been lifted up; therefore, according to the power of the Father I will draw all men unto me, that they may be judged according to their works. 16 And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world.” – 34-35 AD

stickman thinking 3“Diversity of opinion does not necessitate intolerance of spirit, nor should it embitter or set rational beings against each other. The Christ taught kindness, patience, and charity. Our religion is not hostile to real science. That which is demonstrated, we accept with joy; but vain philosophy, human theory, and mere speculations of men, we do not accept nor do we adopt anything contrary to divine revelation or to good common sense. But everything that tends to right conduct, that harmonizes with sound morality and increases faith in Deity, finds favor with us no matter where it may be found.”

Heber J. Grant, Deseret Evening News, Words in Season from the First Presidency (Christmas message)

salt lake mormon temple 2Things of the Soul, 106; “The commandment to multiply and replenish the earth has never been rescinded. It is essential to the plan of redemption and is the source of human happiness. Through the righteous exercise of this power, as through nothing else, we may come close to our Father in Heaven and experience a fulness of joy, even godhood! The power of procreation is not an incidental part of the plan of happiness; it is the key—the very key.” – Apostle Boyd K. Packer

Self-Sufficiency Breaks Faith

Mormon Decisions 10Conference Report, October 1947, Afternoon Session, “Faith in Christ”, pg 52; “Skepticism, self‑sufficiency, atheism, a denial of the divinity of Jesus the Christ, have supplanted belief, and lapses from the moral standards are but the natural result of the breaking down of that faith.” – Elder Albert E. Bowen

Liahona, “Self-Reliance”, September 2013; “Self-reliance is the ability, commitment, and effort to provide for the spiritual and temporal well-being of ourselves and of our families…Speaking of spiritual self-reliance and our dependence on Heavenly Father, Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles has taught; “We become converted and spiritually self-reliant as we prayerfully live our covenants – through worthily partaking of the sacrament, being worthy of a temple recommend, and sacrificing to serve others”.
