Mormon Decisions 10History of the Church 2:190-191; “William E. M’Lellin’s Blessing: In the name of the Lord, wisdom and intelligence shall be poured out upon him, toWilliam E McLellin enable him to perform the great work that is incumbent upon him: that he may be spared until the Saints are gathered; that he may stand before kings and rulers to bear testimony, and be upheld by holy angels; and the nations of the earth shall acknowledge that God has sent him; he shall have power to overcome his enemies; and his life shall be spared in the midst of pestilence and destruction, and in the midst of his enemies. He shall be a prince and savior to God’s people. The tempter shall not overcome him, nor his enemies prevail against him; the heavens shall be opened unto him, as unto men in days of old. He shall be mighty in the hands of God, and shall convince thousands that God has sent him; and his days may be prolonged until the coming of the Son of Man. He shall be wafted as on eagles’ wings, from country to country, and from people to people; and be able to do wonders in the midst of this generation. Even so. Amen.”

Mormon Decisions 10Doctrine and Covenants 132:15-17; “Therefore, if a man marry him a wife in the world, and he marry her not by me nor by my word, and he covenant Doctrine_and_Covenantswith her so long as he is in the world and she with him, their covenant and marriage are not of force when they are dead, and when they are out of the world; therefore, they are not bound by any law when they are out of the world. 16 Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but are appointed angels in heaven, which angels are ministering servants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory. 17 For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are angels of God forever and ever.”

Mormon Decisions 10Encyclopedia of Mormonism, p. 1312; “NAME OF THE CHURCH. Christ’s Church bears his name, and believers in Jesus Christ take upon themselves his name by baptism (see Jehovah, Jesus Christ Christ: Taking the Name of, Upon Oneself). When the Nephites asked the Lord what the name of his Church should be, Jesus said, “How be it my church save it be called in my name? For if a church be called in Moses’ name it be Moses’ church; or if it be called in the name of a man then it be the church of a man; but if it be called in my name then it is my church, if it so be that they are built upon my gospel” (3 Ne. 27:8). The name of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is symbolic of its author and ideal.” Also see same info @ Signs of the True Church

Mormon Decisions 10I was wrong.

In my article about Joe Smith and all his wives, I incorrectly said he had 57.

I visited the all Mormon website familysearch.org and found ol’ Joe’s pedigree chart listing all his wives. To be honest, I was surprised they’d be so bold to do such a thing, be that as it may, they proudly published his ne’er-do-well activities epitomizing his short 39 years on this earth.

Mormon Decisions 10Gospel Topics, ‘Bible, Inerrancy of’; “As the Bible was compiled, organized, translated, and transcribed, many errors entered the text. The existence of such errors becomes apparent when one considers the numerous and often conflicting translations of the Bible in existence today. Careful students of the Bible are often puzzled by apparent contradictions and omissions…

In addition to the Bible, Latter-day Saints reverence and study the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the words of modern prophets and apostles. All these sources of eternal truth work together to establish, clarify, and testify of the plan of our Heavenly Father and to bring people unto Jesus Christ.”

Maundy Thursday 1Wednesday after sundown is actually the beginning of Thursday on the Jewish calendar, and the day Jesus instructed His disciples to go ready the room for the Passover meal in the city. The events of what took place in this one scenario are nothing short of amazing so check this out!!!

Luke 22:7-13; “Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the Passover that we may eat. 9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11 And ye shall say unto the good man of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples? 12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover.”

In today’s look at Holy Week we’re asking the Christian community to answer a few questions!

The Betrayal

Luke 22:3-6; And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. 4 And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them. 5 They were glad and agreed to give him money. 6 So he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the crowd.

While it’s still today, share this event with the Mormon you know!

Tell them that each time we sin it’s a betrayal against Him. How many times have we denied Him when we choose to sin? Personally, I’ve lost count. Today is a good reason for us to reflect on who we are and Who He is.
