The Church seems to be performing an all out blitz on the Old Testament lately with articles on OT Prophets, the story of Adam and Eve, OT Sunday school lessons, et al. It’s interesting to see how many ways they can spin the web of lies they try to pawn off on unsuspecting members.
The purpose of their lesson this week is to “help each class member understand that the Fall was a necessary part of Heavenly Father’s plan for us”.

In case you didn’t know TLC has added yet another polygamy themed show to their lineup, this one is a little different than the ones they’ve shown in the past. The show’s aptly titled Escaping the Prophet.
Instead of showing women embracing the polygamist lifestyle the show’s focused on women wanting to run from it. It follows Flora Jessop and Brandon Jeffs as they reach out and help those seeking refuge from the FLDS community and the bondage this religion has over them.

The Creation
This next lesson in the Old Testament centers on what Mormons are taught about the Creation of the universe in the Book of Moses and Abraham.
Again we find ourselves in this next lesson with Moses and his description of the vision he had of the creation of the universe in Moses 1:27-42. And then Moses 2:1-25 we see a reiteration of the creation account found in Genesis 1.

It’s almost impossible to do any research on Mormonism without coming across historical documentation of Joseph Smith’s participation in the occult and the speech we’re listing here is a good example of that.
Of all the subjects within the world of Mormonism, learning about Joseph’s participation in the occult is what shocked me the most when I finally left the Church. All I can say is that I had absolutely no idea he did these things, but looking back on the things I participated in as a Mormon I shouldn’t have been surprised…

New temple film helps one woman finally leave the church

I just read an amazing testimony from a woman who was having doubts about Mormonism, but like many she tried to ignore what the Lord was revealing to her. I relate to many of the things she says. I also felt uneasiness in the temple the last time I was there, especially during the part where Satan looks at the audience and delivers his dramatic, threatening monologue to all who would even think about leaving the church.
A word of warning before you click on the link, some of her vocabulary might not sit well with some readers. We share her testimony with you because these things need to be addressed. As raw as her testimony is, it really hits home to what Mormonism is about, and the emotions one feels as they come to the realization that it’s all a farce.

I began working in ministry back in ‘94 and since that time I’ve read my fair share of all things Mormon. One thing I’ve found fascinating is how people who were familiar with Smith’s work when he was alive began warning the body of Christ about the dangers of Mormonism.

Today we’re taking a look at what the Book of Mormon has to say about itself and the claims about its authenticity. We don’t have to go far before discovering a few brow raising verses that should give pause to anyone reading its contents.
Joseph Smith claimed the BoM was the most correct book on earth (History of the Church 4:461) and even today the Church wastes no opportunity to repeat his statement yet they never fail to give excuses as to why outsiders don’t share the same views.
