Doctrines of Salvation 2:287-288; “In both of these kingdoms there will be changes in the bodies and limitations. They will not have the power of increase, neither the power or nature to live as husbands and wives, for this will be denied them and they cannot increase.
“Those who receive the exaltation in the celestial kingdom will have the ‘continuation of the seeds forever.’ [D&C 132:19.] They will live in the family relationship. In the terrestrial and in the telestial kingdoms there will be no marriage. Those who enter there will remain “separately and singly” forever. [D&C 132:15-32.]
“Some of the functions in the celestial body will not appear in the terrestrial body, neither in the telestial body, and the power of procreation will be removed. I take it that men and women will, in these kingdoms, be just what the so-called Christian world expects us all to be neither man nor woman, merely immortal beings having received the resurrection.” – Joseph Fielding Smith, 1954

February 6 – Exaltation. Paul told us in 2 Thess. 2:4-8 those who exalts himself to sit on the throne of God would be revealed as a man of sin. It’s the man of wickedness who does this and then the Lord will “consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming”.

General Conference, ‘Endure to be Lifted Up,’ April 1997; “The supreme benefits of membership in the Church can only be realized only through the exalting ordinances of the temple. These blessings qualify us for “thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers” in the celestial kingdom.” – Russell M. Nelson

Is Mormon Exaltation Salvation, or Idolatry?
Posted in salvation, tagged false doctrines of Mormonism, godhood, idolatry, Mormon salvation is exaltation on 03/11/2017| Leave a Comment »
General Conference, ‘The Book,’ October 2014; “The leaders did not set the requirements for exaltation. God did!” – Allan F. Packer
Ok, before we look at Mr. Packer’s comment let’s see what Mormons mean by “exaltation”.
The Gospel Principles manual defines exaltation this way:
“Exaltation is eternal life, the kind of life God lives. He lives in great glory. He is perfect. He possesses all knowledge and all wisdom. He is the Father of spirit children. He is a creator. We can become like our Heavenly Father. This is exaltation.”
