Ezekiel 21:26-27; “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. 27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.”

Gospel Through the Ages, p. 98 ~ “The stupendous truth of the existence of a Heavenly Mother, as well as a Heavenly Father, became established facts in Mormon Theology.” ~Milton R. Hunter, 1958

However, 33 yrs later Mr. Hinckley downplayed what is, and isn’t, established fact in Mormon theology… (more…)

As I was on the web last night looking at my email I noticed a video ad that asked the questions; “How do I forgive?”, “Will God help me? Where can I find happiness? “. These questions were followed by the caption, “The Book of Mormon: Real Answers, Real Questions”, along with a place to click to learn more.

Clicking the learn more button will take you to mormon.org, and a page with the heading-

God’s help is within your reach”

New Witnesses for God, 1:458-459; “…If Jesus Christ, “being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God,” why should it be considered blasphemous to teach that man by faith and righteousness in following the counsels of God, shall at last become like him, and share his power and glory, being a God, even a son of God? …The Prophet Joseph Smith corrected the idea thatGod that now is was always God…“ – B.H. Roberts

Yesterday we read how LDS apostle Ballard encouraged the young girls of Mormonism to do good deeds for others. That in itself isn’t a bad thing, but using an occult fertility symbol isn’t the mark of true Christianity.

I wrote about this a few years back so we’re reposting it today as a reminder of how the Church falls way short on the scale of godly behavior. If they truly wanted these precious young girls to be godly, they’d dump the beehive theme, and pick up the cross of Christianity. As it is, they’re leading these kids down a dark road that doesn’t represent our Lord at all.

Journal of Discourses 1:57; “The Son is called God, and so is the Father, and in some places the Holy Ghost is called God. They are one in power, in wisdom, in knowledge, and in the inheritance of celestial glory; they are one in their works; they possess all things, and all things are subject to them; they act in unison; and if one has power to become the Father of spirits, so has another; if one God can propagate his species, and raise up spirits after his own image and likeness, and call them his sons and daughters, so can all other Gods that become like him, do the same thing; consequently, there will be many Fathers, and there will be many families, and many sons and daughters; and they will be the children of those glorified, celestial beings that are counted worthy to be Gods.” – Orson Pratt, Great Salt Lake City, August 29, 1852

June 23 – Trading the real Jesus for a false Christ. John 1:1, 14; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

General Conference, ‘The Book,’ October 2014; “The leaders did not set the requirements for exaltation. God did!” – Allan F. Packer

Ok, before we look at Mr. Packer’s comment let’s see what Mormons mean by “exaltation”.

The Gospel Principles manual defines exaltation this way:

“Exaltation is eternal life, the kind of life God lives. He lives in great glory. He is perfect. He possesses all knowledge and all wisdom. He is the Father of spirit children. He is a creator. We can become like our Heavenly Father. This is exaltation.”

may-pole-dancing-at-payson-temple-celebration Thousands of Youth Sing, Dance at Payson Temple Cultural Celebration

Throwing caution to the wind in June 2015, the Mormon Church celebrated the grand opening of another temple in Utah; Payson, Utah to be exact.

It reminded us of the ceremonies they held for the Philadelphia Temple opening. Oh, be still my heart…

As part of this over-the-top, all out party for their god, the Church used their kids to put on one of the grandest road shows we’ve seen in quite some time. It’s highly doubtful the majority realized what they were doing, but make no mistake beloved, it was a blatant display of paganism at its finest.

templeAs of late, the LDS Church is building temples at a record pace. According to their site they now have 155 operating temples, and 25 others in various stages of construction. Another page gives the reason why they build so many temples. Here in part, is what they said –

‘From the days of the Old Testament, the Lord has commanded His people to build temples-sacred structures where He could teach, guide, and bless them.’ See ‘Why We Build Temples’.

gospel-teaching-and-learning-handbook GOSPEL TEACHING AND LEARNING: A HANDBOOK FOR TEACHERS AND LEADERS IN SEMINARIES AND INSTITUTES OF RELIGION PREPARING TO TEACH

Today we have a question about an instruction listed in an LDS teaching manual.

We’re also praying diligently all Mormons will come to know they can find the truth by opening their bibles. By doing so, they’ll see how the Jesus of the Bible can’t be the Jesus of Mormonism, and that obviously goes for God’s Holy Spirit as well!
