Journal of Discourses 12:315; “And you, sisters, cease trading with any man or being in this city or country who does not belong to the church. If you do not, we are going to cut you off from the church, for we are determined not to be driven or broken up again, and we are determined to deal with love and sustain our nation, our community. We mean to live here. We came 1,400 miles to get away from that power which is trying to get into our midst to break us up again. … we calculate to stay here if you will do as I tell you, and cease trading with those who are not of us. Do you suppose that Jesus did not understand the spirit and the feelings of the world when He said, “He who is not for us is against us.” Every man and woman of intelligence that ever was or ever will be upon the earth is either for God or against Him.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, November 29, 1868

June 3 – Pre-existence is the Mormon version of reincarnation. 1 Cor. 15:46-47; “Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Deseret News, November 16, 1859, p. 290; “It appears ridiculous to the world, under their darkened and erroneous traditions, that God has once been a finite being; and yet we are not in such close communion with him as many have supposed. He has passed on, and is exalted far beyond what we can now comprehend.” – Brigham Young, Great Salt Lake City, October 8, 1859 Also see Journal of Discourses 7:333.

Brigham’s words were an ominous warning of what was to come. This essay discloses some of the most blasphemous ideologies Brigham espoused, and passed on down to his followers. The jury’s still out on which teaching he proclaimed was the worst. It’s a toss-up between Jesus being no different than Cain or Abel., Adam ‘decelestializing’ himself, or that Peter is Joseph Smith’s god. Ugh! It seems these men had far too much time on their hands…(Proverbs 16:27)

Gordon B. Hinckley boldly proclaimed none else but God Almighty came down to earth and told Joe Smith all of Christianity was wrong. He also asserted the entire church rests itself on the validity of this ‘glorious first vision’. It’s a dismal outlook on life if this is what the Church is banking on. His claim gives investigators many reasons to reject their church. There’s no less than eleven different versions of the first vision.
Why don’t they set their validity on Jesus?
General Conference, ‘What are People Asking about Us?,’ October 1998; “Our entire case as members of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, rests on the validity of this glorious First Vision” (Also see Church News, Oct.

The LDS Church has a few things in common with a rather obscure creature from the animal world; the chameleon.
The chameleon can change colors to blend in, and they’re usually solitary creatures unless they’re seen with a group of other female chameleons.

1 Peter 5:2; “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.”
Journal of Discourses 4:112; “I wish the most strict attention of the entire congregation… I shall require the people to be perfectly still, while they are here and we are trying to speak to them. Let there be no talking, whispering, nor shuffling of feet. …
I will say, in regard to the sisters who bring children here to make a noise, they have never yet sufficiently thought, nor sufficiently considered their own place in this world, nor the place of others, to know that there is any other person living on the earth but themselves; and they think, when they hear people talk, that it is a noise through a dark veil. I cannot say much for the education, based on good feeling, that such persons have.
Were I to describe it in a plain way, I should say that they are people of no breeding, that they were never bred but came up; that is about as good a character as I can afford to give to any mother that will keep a squalling child in a meeting. I have never said to the congregation, look and see who they are, for you may distinguish by your ears, without looking, the mothers that have had good teaching and been brought up in a civilized society. … We shall have large congregations during the Conference, and we wish perfect order maintained.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 5, 1856

Anti-Christian Remarks and a Slough of Mormon False Prophecies

The title of our article today is but a snippet into the minds of early Mormonism and the way they collectively spoke about the body of Christ. The small section from ‘The Women of Mormondom’ gives us
a close up look into the minds of those who obeyed Joe Smith and Brigham Young.
This book, written by Eliza Roxcy Snow, is a compilation of early Mormon teachings, some historical data, and interviews of prominent members of the Church, conducted by Ms. Snow. Not only was Eliza the older sister of Mormonism’s 5th prophet/president, Lorenzo Snow, she was also the widow of both Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, in addition to serving as the 1st LDS Relief Society Secretary under Emma Smith.
This short lesson we’re looking at today gives us a concise, yet comprehensive, understanding on the Church’s teachings about Adam’s role as Michael the Archangel. Additionally, because Mormons can’t do anything without slamming the body of Christ, they couldn’t help but include an unnecessary opinion about Christianity along with it.

Brigham Young: Scriptures Cannot Save

Journal of Discourses 7:332-333; “…all the salvation you can obtain by means of those books alone is comparatively of little value. They contain a history of what other men have done, show the path they walked in, and the way in which they obtained the words of eternal life for themselves; but all the Scriptures from the days of Adam until now cannot, alone, save one individual.
The people called Christians are shrouded in ignorance, and read the Scriptures with darkened understandings.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 8, 1859
