“And God was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob…”
While doing some research for an article in the Book of Mormon I came across Mosiah 7:19. Here in part is what it says;
“…put your trust in God, in that God who was the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob…”
Now I ask you the reader if you’ve ever come across this phrase.
I am also wondering when God stopped being the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob…hmmm…it makes ya wonder about Mr. Smith now doesn’t it?

Families are Forever in Godhood Status
Deseret News, 13 Mar. 1897, President Lorenzo Snow taught: “When two Latter-day Saints are united together in marriage, promises are made to them concerning their offspring that reach from eternity to eternity. They are promised that they shall have the power and the right to govern and control and administer salvation and exaltation and glory to their offspring, worlds without end. 1 Nephi 13:41 says; “…there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth.”
If there’s only one God over the earth then what did Smith mean when he said the “trinity” is made up of 3 gods?

I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preach on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods. It has been preached by the Elders for fifteen years. I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.”

History of Joseph Smith
Evidences and Reconciliations, pg 334; “Because the earliest available written or printed account of this vision is dated 1838 and 1839, some enemies of the Church have cast doubt upon the authenticity of the date claimed for the vision. They have suggested that the vision was invented by the Prophet in 1838, when he set about to write the formal history of the Church. This not only implies that Joseph Smith lied, but also that the facts of history to be acceptable must be written and circulated at the time of their occurrence. This is a preposterous claim, made only by enemies of the Church to mislead those who are unacquainted with Mormon history. Whether the story of the first vision existed in written form in the early days of the Church is not known.”
Anyone or anything that disagrees with the LDS Church is considered anti-Mormon. Yet, the Church considers themselves to be a Christian church.
