Your diligent efforts to do so will reinforce and strengthen your spiritual foundation.”” — Russell Nelson (more…)

Outrageous Lies of Russell Nelson to Missions Presidents 2021

Today’s post is a reminder of what Mr. Nelson declared in 2016.
We originally looked at this right after he made the speech in question.
Fast forward a few years and we see Mr. Nelson is on to other things he deems important like building a lot of new temples, and making sure the Church isn’t referred to as Mormonism. The biggest agenda seems to be reminding people they can have their own revelations as long as they fall in line with his.
Sadly, all those in attendance in that meeting five years ago accepted what he said without question, just as many are doing so today.
Please, pray for these dear people and for Jesus’ intervention! (more…)

One thing is certain. The Church continues to point inward to avoid pointing to Jesus.

General Conference, ‘New Temples’, April 2021 “President Nelson’s announcement today of 20 new temples

The Church of Jesus Christ now has 251 temples announced, under construction or operating.” (more…)

General Conference, ‘Closing Remarks’, October 2019 “We know the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will bring hope and joy to people who will
hear and heed His doctrine. We also know that each home can become a true sanctuary of faith, where peace, love, and the Spirit of the Lord may dwell.
Of course, the crowning jewel of the Restoration is the holy temple. Its sacred ordinances and covenants are pivotal to preparing a people who are ready to welcome the Savior at His Second Coming. Presently we have 166 dedicated temples, and more are coming.” — Russell Nelson [emp. added] (more…)

Liahona, ‘Grow into the Principle of Revelation’, January 2021 “When we couple increased purity and obedience with fasting, diligent
seeking, study of the scriptures and the words of living prophets, and temple and family history work, the heavens will open. The Lord, in turn, will fulfill His promise: “I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind” (Doctrine and Covenants 11:13).

Liahona, ‘Grow into the Principle of Revelation’, January 2021 “Worthy to Receive Revelation … Refining our ability to recognize the
whisperings of the Holy Ghost and increasing our capacity to receive revelation requires worthiness. Worthiness does not require perfection, but it requires that we strive for increased purity.
The Lord expects daily effort, daily improvement, daily repentance. Worthiness brings purity, and purity qualifies us for the Holy Ghost. As we take “the Holy Spirit for [our] guide” (Doctrine and Covenants 45:57), we qualify for personal revelation.” — Russell Nelson1 (more…)

LDS: Spirit of Elijah is Holy Ghost

The Spirit of Elijah, by Definition, Is the Holy Ghost as His Directing Influence Guides Those Who Participate in Family History and Temple Work [2.6] ““The Spirit of Elijah” is a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. [2.6.1] Latter-day Saints often talk about “the Spirit of Elijah.” This phrase refers to the workings of the Holy Ghost upon individuals that creates an excitement and desire “to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers” (D&C 110:15) and to be involved in the work of family history. Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explained: “What is sometimes called the Spirit of Elijah [is] a manifestation of the Holy Ghost bearing witness of the divine nature of the family. Hence, people throughout the world, regardless of religious affiliation, are gathering records of deceased relatives at an ever-increasing rate” (in Conference Report, Apr. 1998, 43; or Ensign, May 1998, 34).”
