January 11— Alpha. This is the first letter of the Greek alphabet which originates from the Hebrew. There’s no contraction of this because it’s simply a letter, and neither are there any derivatives. The same can be said for the last letter of the Greek alphabet, ‘Omega’.  Revelation 1:8; “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (more…)

January 8 — Free Agency. Joshua 24:14-15; “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (more…)

January 7 – Abraham. Who was he and does it matter? We find a great answer to this in Genesis 12:1-2. This passage sets into motion the foundational basis of every believer’s life! January 25 – Works won’t save. Ephesians 2:8-9 is a golden scripture reminding us of how we are saved.  “For by grace ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

January 24 – Child deacons? Aside from the perfect announcement that God came in human flesh to pay the price for sin, the New Testament is mainly about the doctrines of God. In it we find how to conduct ourselves even through the simple structure of church life. 1 Tim. 3:12 says; “let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well”.

January 23 – The Promise.  God explicitly told Abraham the promise of his seed would come through the lineage of Isaac.  Gen. 17:19; “And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him”.
