Salvation

In Mormonism there is a general or “unconditional salvation” of all people because God gives “grace alone without obedience to gospel law”.  After this general salvation comes the placement of souls.  Heaven is comprised of three distinct levels and you earn your way into the various levels by the amount or type of work you’ve done here on earth.  These levels are; the Celestial Kingdom, Terrestrial Kingdom and the lowest level of the Telestial Kingdom.  To the Mormon you aren’t truly ‘saved’ unless you enter into what they call the Celestial Kingdom and have become a god.

Joseph Smith Gives His Life

Ensign, June 1994 page 22; The life of Joseph Smith was in some degree patterned after that of the Master, Jesus Christ. That pattern holds true even when extended to its tragic conclusion. Like his Master, Joseph Smith also shed his blood in order that the final testament, the reestablishment of the new convenat, might be in full effect.” – Robert Millet

A Simple Comparison…

Many people call us asking for help to witness to their loved ones.  We have a list of several insights we’ve posted on our site and blog here to aid in helping those who’ve been caught in the snares of Mormonism. In addition to the 20 helps we thought it’d be handy for our readers to also have a side-by-side comparison of the Bible, Book of Mormon and other LDS teachings.

Notice how the Mormon writings will both agree and contradict each other as well as the Bible. This is important to point out to your loved one when you have the opportunity to share the gospel with them.

Above all, know that we’re praying for you and would love to hear of your updates!

With Love in Christ, Michelle

Forgiveness, None for the Adulteress

Miracle of Forgiveness, pg. 164; In my years since then I have repeatedly heard people praise the Lord for his mercy in having forgiven the adulteress. This example has been used numerous times to show how easily one can be forgiven for gross sin. But did the Lord forgive the woman? Could he forgive her? There seems to be no evidence of forgiveness. His command to her was, “Go, and sin no more.” He was directing the sinful woman to go her way, abandon her evil life, commit no more sin, transform her life.” – Spencer W. Kimball

Jesus

“We affirm, on the authority of Holy Scripture, that the Being who is known among men as Jesus of Nazareth, and by all who acknowledge His Godhood as Jesus the Christ, existed with the Father prior to birth in the flesh; and that in the preexistent state He was chosen and ordained to be the one and only Savior and Redeemer of the human race.” Jesus the Christ, pg. 6 by James E. Talmage.

September 15 – Mark 12:23-25; “In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.  And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?  For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”

Mitt Romney, the United States and Mormonism

A few years ago my good friend Ed Decker called and asked me to help him out with a book he was writing at the time called “My Kingdom Come”. The book deals with many issues within Mormonism, but the chapter I contributed to was on my experience living as a “residual fruit” of polygamy. I shared in his book what it was like growing up with so many relatives and what it does to someone spiritually, mentally and emotionally knowing your sole purpose in life was to bear children for the Mormon god.

September 13 – Romans 10:15-17; “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Okay here we go!

As I was just visiting Ed Decker’s Christian Apologetic Facebook page I read an interesting article.

The Mormon Church is going on an all-out blitz of another advertising campaign and this time they’re not hitting just the television and radio airwaves.

Yesterday bishops met in wards with their local congregations to let them know they will be advertising via the social networking venues.  Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube to  name a few.

They want all members ages 14+ to participate and tell the world about their personal experiences in Mormonism.

If you’re on those internet pages at all – watch out and warn your friends and neighbors!

To get the whole story of what the Church is doing, visit Ed’s Christian Apologetic Facebook page:

God

Alma 11:44; “…every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.
