What is the Meaning of “Families are Forever”?
Gospel Fundamentals, pg. 177; “God made it possible for families to be together forever. He has given the leaders of His Church the authority to bind families together forever. This binding together is called sealing. This sealing can take place only in a temple. Temples are sacred buildings where only faithful members of the Church may go. When a man and woman are sealed in the temple by someone who holds the priesthood and has special power to seal, their marriage will not end when they die. Their marriage will last forever if they keep the promises they made in the temple. This is called eternal marriage.
If a man and a woman are not sealed in the temple, the marriage ends when one of them dies. If we are sealed in the temple, and if we faithfully follow Jesus Christ to the end of our lives, our families can be together forever.”

Romney and Huntsman Glaringly Absent in Iowa Family Leader Forum
Where were Mitt Romney and/or Jon Hunstman yesterday and why weren’t they at the Christian church in Iowa with all the other Republican candidates?
Ironically enough the name of the conference was “Family Leader Forum”. Mormons are all about families, right?
I have to wonder…did they not go because it was held inside a Christian church or was it because they might be asked about their faith? When I was a Mormon (for 30 yrs no less) it was drilled into me not to step foot in a Christian church or bookstore.

Beehives
A good friend called me the other day after returning from a business trip to Salt Lake City asking me what the deal was with all the beehives in Utah. She noticed that everywhere she looked there seemed to be this overwhelming sense these meant more than what they portrayed.

Why is the earth given to the righteous for an inheritance if the goal is to become a god with your own planet? (D&C 45:58)

Creation
The book of Moses in the Pearl of Great Price is the account of the creation. Moses 2:1-31 is much like the account of the creation as told in the Bible. Now if we skip over to Abraham chapters 4 and 5 in the Pearl of Great Price we see an entirely different story of the creation. Here it tells the Mormon that the ‘Gods’ created the earth and then created man. This is just one example of how the Mormons became confused.

The Church is Infallible

For the next few days we’re going to be looking at the markings on the Nauvoo and Salt Lake Temples. Now that summer is just about over, this means the pageants at the temples are over with as well.
Our prayers for this is that the Mormons who visited the pageants would think about the markings on the Nauvoo Temple and if they visited SLC this summer to think upon the occultic markings on the Salt Lake Temple.

Salvation
In Mormonism there is a general or “unconditional salvation” of all people because God gives “grace alone without obedience to gospel law”. After this general salvation comes the placement of souls. Heaven is comprised of three distinct levels and you earn your way into the various levels by the amount or type of work you’ve done here on earth. These levels are; the Celestial Kingdom, Terrestrial Kingdom and the lowest level of the Telestial Kingdom. To the Mormon you aren’t truly ‘saved’ unless you enter into what they call the Celestial Kingdom and have become a god.
Anyone or anything that disagrees with the LDS Church is considered anti-Mormon. Yet, the Church considers themselves to be a Christian church.
