New Testament Student Manual, pg 25; “In the Inspired Version, the Prophet added the following verses to the recorded account of the Savior’s youth. “And it came to pass that Jesus grew up with his brethren, and waxed strong, and waited upon the Lord for the time of his ministry to come. “And he served under his father, and he spake not as other men, neither could he be taught; for he needed not that any man should teach him.“And after many years, the hour of his ministry drew nigh.” (Matthew 3:24–26, Inspired Version.) Gathering the articles we wrote during Romney’s campaign made me wonder…what objective was achieved with all the Mormon ads?
When the Mormon Church came out of the woodwork like it did with the “I’m a Mormon” ad campaign, it gave us a good look at what their agenda was really all about. It also surprised us with Christians who threw caution to the wind just so they could show they weren’t voting for a hardcore liberal like Obama.
