LDS Exaltation: Having Power, and Glory Like God
Posted in Gospel Principles, tagged False Prophecies of Joseph Smith, godhood status, Gospel Principles p 277, idolatry on 02/24/2020| 3 Comments »
Gospel Principles, p. 277 “Blessings of Exaltation … They will have everything that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have—all power, glory, dominion, and knowledge (see D&C 132:19–20). President Joseph Fielding Smith wrote: “The Father has promised through the Son that all that he has shall be given to those who are obedient to His commandments. They shall increase in knowledge, wisdom, and power, going from grace to grace, until the fulness of the perfect day shall burst upon them” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 2:36; italics in original).” (more…)

LDS Lies Taught to Female Youth Groups, Part 1
Posted in Women and Mormonism, tagged bishops judge worthiness, false doctrines of Mormonism, godhood status, Young Women's Manual 2 on 06/19/2019| 1 Comment »
Today and tomorrow we’re taking a look at some of the egregious lies the Church has passed off as truth to the most vulnerable: the kids.
Today we’re looking at what used to be part of the lesson plan in the LDS Young Women’s Manual. This isn’t something taught a century ago, rather, this is from just 2-3 yrs ago. The young girls subjected to these lies are either still in the system, or they’ve started families of their own by now. We posted an article on the first part of this lesson in 2012.
Please, pray for those who had to listen to this, and believed the outrageous lies! (more…)
LDS: Our Redeemed Gods, and Conjugal Love
Posted in godhood, tagged godhood status, Mormon god redeemed from other earth, Orson Pratt, polytheism, The Seer pp 23-24 on 06/10/2019| Leave a Comment »
“For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree.” 1 Kings 14:23
The Seer, Vol. 1 and 2, pp. 23-24 “The Gods who dwell in the heavens from which our spirits came, are beings who have been redeemed from the grave in a world which existed before the foundation of this earth was laid.
These Gods being redeemed from the grave with their wives, are immortal and eternal, and will die no more, but they and their wives will be supremely happy. All the endearing ties of conjugal love, which existed in their bosoms when terrestial and fallen beings, are now greatly increased and perfected…” — LDS Apostle Orson Pratt, January 1853 (more…)
Men to be Equal with God
Posted in godhood, tagged Erastus Snow, false apostle, godhood status, Journal of Discourses on 04/29/2019| 2 Comments »
Today we’re looking at a talk given by Erastus Snow, an early LDS apostle, and using it as an example of how the twisting of words can turn everything in the Bible upside down.
Journal of Discourses 19:278-279 “…the Apostle Paul says, “There are Lords many and Gods many, yet” said
he, “unto us there is but one God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” and that is enough for us.
And we may say to every child, though there are fathers many and mothers many, but to you there is but one, and that is enough, that is enough for you.
Honor your father and your mother, and let your father and mother honor their father and mother, and this is the chain of the Priesthood, and power let down from the eternities to man on the earth.
And may God enable us to grow in this chain, and climb higher and higher, onward and upward, and work ourselves up to the eternal power and godhead. (more…)

Our Search for Happiness—An Invitation to Understand the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, p. 14 “…our belief in Christ is not passive. We believe that He and our Heavenly Father continue to minister to mankind today through inspiration and revelation. The leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints function under His divine direction just as the early apostles and prophets did when His Church was fully upon the earth. Ours is an active, vibrant faith dedicated to serving the Lord and doing the things He would do if He were walking among us. As we do His will we feel His spirit, a peaceful, comforting presence that warms our souls with courage and faith and draws us ever closer to Him. And as we draw closer to Him, we learn to love Him and our Eternal Father, and we find ourselves showing our love for them by keeping their commandments—which helps us to become more like them.

There is no end to this development; it will go on forever. We will become Gods and have jurisdiction over worlds, and these worlds will be peopled by our own offspring.” — Robert Woodford See also: Doctrines of the Gospel Student Manual (1986); see also Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation 2:48 (1955) (more…)

Today we’ll be covering questions 11, and 12 of our ongoing series based on the article, ‘51 questions that might lead you to Mormonism’.
“The word “God” is a title. It’s not the actual name of Christ and it’s not the name of Heavenly Father. So could others like you and I be called using that same title someday if we are faithful children of a being with the title of “God”? (John 10:30-36) (Romans 8:16-17)”
No, others like you, or I, can never be called by that name, it doesn’t matter how faithful we are, no, never.
